New Zealand Geography

This term we are working on extending our knowledge of New Zealand. We have to plan a route to travel up and down New Zealand visiting at least 32 towns or cities as we go. At each place we visit we have to research information and record facts and images to share with the class. Today we had some help from a new kid.

Water Safety Skills

We had a visit from a Water Safety New Zealand tutor who took us through a number of exercises to teach us skills to help us stay safe around water.

Maths

We have been working collaboratively in maths to solve word problems.

Life Saving Skills

We have been learning how to be safe in and on the water. We learnt how to wear a buoyancy aide correctly and how to minimize heat loss if we end up in the water.

Cricket Skills

Each Friday this month we are lucky enough to have cricket coaching provided by Canterbury Cricket.

Life Long Learning

We are an incredibly motivated group of learners. ........we start work to extend our learning before the school day even starts by sharing what we learnt over night and up skilling our class mates.
