Lambing
Cold weather and the first lambs have arrived together. We are showing 'EMPATHY/AROHA to Prancer to ensure he survives. We have to ensure his needs are met - keep him warm (shelter) and feed him milk every three hours (food).
Reading Lessons
Over the past two weeks we have been studying procedural writing. During writing time we have written our own procedures, one of which was how to repair a bike puncture. We then had to follow our instructions and ensure we had enough detail for someone to fix a puncture.
We have also been focusing on comprehending procedural texts. Today we had to follow written origami instructions to make a bird - it was very tricky!

STEM Activities
Each week we are given a challenge to construct a structure following a set of guidelines and limited resources. We have to work in teams and use all of our maths, technology, science and engineering knowledge to be successful. Here are some photos of our challenge to build a boat that could hold a large cargo and a structure that could hold a weight.
